Kayn, Kayna, Kaynin
“Kayn,” “kayna,” and “kaynin” means “there is” for masculine, feminine, and plural forms, respectively.
For example, in the video, we said in Darija: “kayna bnt kata5d lbanan mn tlaja,” which means “There is a girl taking a banana from the fridge..” We used “kayna” because “girl” is feminine.
We also said: “kayn rajl wa9f chad ma9la,” meaning “there is a man studying and holding a pan. .” We used “kayn” in this case because “man” is masculine.
Try to pause the video, describe what you see, and then compare your response with the coach’s.
